Dr. Mohammad Rehan Ajmal Khan is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Tabuk (UT), a public university located in the beautiful city of Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has been actively engaged in teaching, training, and research since his graduation in 2016.
Dr. Khan obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Master’s degree in Biotechnology, both with first-class distinction, and earned his Doctorate from the Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit, Aligarh Muslim University.
He was the recipient of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India studentship for his Master’s studies, and qualified the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET-LS, Rank 81). Furthermore, he qualified the UGC-CSIR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF, Rank 278) and the DBT-JRF examination.
Dr. Khan has served as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in both India and Saudi Arabia. During his academic career, he has taken up responsibilities in course planning, academic evaluation and accreditation, research and laboratory development, and has led multiple independent academic research projects. He has been actively involved in teaching and research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Khan strongly believes in research ethics and fair scientific practice. He serves on the reviewer board of several reputed journals in fields such as physical biochemistry, biopolymers, and biomolecular applications. He has filed a patent and published research papers in indexed international peer-reviewed journals, his H-index is 24 (Google Scholar). Notably, Dr. Khan was listed in the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List (2025).
